SRINAGAR: A curfew has been imposed in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IOK) following a protest call by Kashmiri leaders on Friday.

The protest leaders were staging a demonstration against the killing of a young man, identified as Adil Farooq Magrey, who was martyred during a clash between security officials and protesters on Tuesday.

In response, the authorities have also closed down all educational institutes across the valley to prevent more student-led protests. The examinations have also been postponed.

As a result, the internet service in the valley has been suspended as well.
