KARACHI : (Web Desk)_Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday arrived at the head quarters of Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui welcomed the PM and the PML-N delegation accompanying PM during his visit to Karachi.
On this occasion, MQM leader Amir Khan said that everyone knows the country is in difficult situation but it is a politician’s responsibility to deal with the difficult scenarios. In response to which PM Shehbaz said that who else knows the skill of dealing with the problems other than PML-N and MQM.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Karachi holds high expectations from Shehbaz Sharif, in response to which the PM mentioned that the roads of the sit will be built by federal funds and we together will make Karachi the city of lights.
Sindh CM mentioned that PPP will co-ordinate with MQM. We will work for Karachi together. Chairman Bilawal wishes to take MQM along with PPP.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to take measures for providing potable water to the residents of Karachi on priority basis.
Talking to media, along with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Wednesday evening, he said provision of clean drinking water in Karachi is a big challenge. He assured that the Federal Government will provide all possible cooperation to the provincial government in addressing the civic issues.
The Prime Minister said he will try to bring Karachi Circular Railway project under the umbrella of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said availability of comfortable transport facilities are another big challenge and efforts will be made to provide air-conditioned buses to the citizens of Karachi.
PM assures full cooperation to Sindh for timely completion of developments projects
Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif held meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House in Karachi on Wednesday
The spokesperson of the Chief Minister House says that during the meeting, political, economic and other issues of importance were discussed besides matters relating to the overall law and order situation and administration of the province.
The Prime Minister directed the Chief Minister to make all out efforts for the welfare of the people and for the safety of their lives and properties.
The Chief Minister congratulated the Prime Minister on the occasion for assuming the office of the Prime Minister and assured him that Sindh Government will work closely with the Federal Government for the welfare of the people of the province.
The meeting was also attended by Members of National Assembly Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Maryam Aurangzeb, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Maulana Asad Mehmood and Ahsan Iqbal besides other officials.
Earlier, the Chief Minister accorded the Prime Minister a warm welcome on his arrival at the Chief Minister House.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, where he paid his respects and penned his comments in the visitors’ book.
He was accompanied by PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal and Marriyum Aurangzeb, MQM leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Aminul Haq, and JUI-F leader Muhammad Ali Durrani.
The prime minister in his comments wrote, “I am visiting your mausoleum as a tribute to you and as an expression of my immense respect for you in our great struggle for a separate homeland.”
The PM further wrote, “We apologize to you that we as a nation have not been able to follow the path you expected from us, thus disappointing your soul and I solemnly promise you that I will serve my country to the best of my ability and will strive to live up to your expectations.”
It merits mention here that at the end instead of his signature, the Premier wrote ‘Khadim-e-Pakistan’.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached Karachi on a day-long visit.
On his arrival, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and his cabinet members warmly welcomed the Prime Minister at the airport.
He is accompanied amongst others by MNAs Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Miftah Ismail and Akram Durrani.
Soon after his arrival, the Prime Minister along with the leaders of allied parties paid his respects at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam. He also laid floral wreath at the mausoleum and offered Fateha.
Later, the Prime Minister will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and then chair a consultative meeting regarding Karachi s development projects.
He will also be briefed about the problems of Sindh province especially Karachi.
Shehbaz Sharif will also visit Bahadurabad to meet the leadership of MQM.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif s directive to ensure availability of petroleum projects
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to ensure availability of petroleum projects and said that a strategy to deal with power load shedding should also be prepared.
An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the energy situation in the country, in which Miftah Ismail, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, officials of the Ministry of Finance and Petroleum participated.
The meeting reviewed the steps taken to ensure availability of petroleum products. Participants also considered measures to deal with the power load shedding situation.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar have decided to return home soon. Ishaq Dar is arriving in Pakistan first. In the next few days, both of them will also get passports.
Nawaz Sharif has directed Ishaq Dar to go to Pakistan soon and assist Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Prime Minister is taking important decisions after consultation and approval with party leader Nawaz Sharif. The PML-N leader had a busy day at the temporary headquarters of PML-N in London and had a telephone consultation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other party leaders.
The members of the federal cabinet and their departments will also be announced with the approval of Nawaz Sharif. Ishaq Dar is also fully cooperating with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in government affairs and is involved in important decisions based on his experience in the Ministry of Finance.
PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif said that Shehbaz Sharif was given the responsibility of the Prime Minister s office in a very difficult situation but he wanted the entire party leadership and others to make Pakistan prosperous. He said that he would work with the parties to get the country out of its problems.
He said that measures for the common man are the first priority. He said that the Prime Minister would fulfill the trust of the people. The parties must work together to meet the expectations of the people.
In response to a question, Ishaq Dar said that the orders given by the party leaders will be carried out and if the Prime Minister and other allies decide to give any responsibility, they will use their full potential.
