ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan on Monday has said that his statement regarding constitutional option for the growth of Sindh was wrongly interpreted.
While informally talking to media at Sindh High Court (SHC), the attorney general clarified that constitutional option doesn’t mean imposing governor rule or Article 149 in Karachi.
An advisory committee has been formed to resolve the issues of Karachi. The federal government wants neutral administrator and a team to work jointly for the development of the metropolis, he added.
AG Khalid Javed Khan stated that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has been assured that not a single unconstitutional step will be taken for Karachi.
If needed, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and other government institutions will be asked for help for resolving the issues of Karachi, he went on to say.
