KARACHI: Sindh government’s provincial minister Saeed Ghani claimed on Wednesday that the opposition has the numbers required to get its candidates elected as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Senate.
Talking to media persons in Karachi, Saeed Ghani said that the government used every tactic to get vote of confidence for Prime Minister Imran Khan. Now, for the election of Chairman Senate, Shibli Faraz has stated that they will not act under any law.
The provincial minister said that Shibli Faraz’s statement had made the government’s intentions clear; it wants to win the election of chairman senate under all circumstances.
He said the government knows its members would not vote for it, which is why it wants to steal the opposition’s votes. They want to win the Chairman Senate election on any condition, he added.
The PPP leader further said that the government also betrayed all its allies. If anyone used money to buy votes, it was PTI. PTI as a party is corrupt, it also misappropriated foreign funding. Their own members said that Saifullah Abro was given a ticket in return for Rs 350 million.
